Tying the Knot Wedding Invitations

The phrase "tying the knot" has been around for very long time, and in wedding ceremonies even today, couples sometimes choose to participate in handfasting, where a couple's clapsed hands are tied together by a ribbon or a cord. The tradition is that the couple's hands should remain tied until they go to their marriage bed, but nowadays, the hands are untied (with knots intact) after the ceremony, so the couple can go on to enjoy the rest of their wedding celebration without being tied together!

For this invitation, I created a simple, clean, and modern "tying the knot" design. The cards are made of a pearlescent white metallic cardstock, and the backing of the main invitation is a blue vista metallic cardstock. The invitation and response envelopes are a gorgeous silver metallic color that match the silver text of the invitation.
